HelenHelen - Vet Nurse

Helen has been working at Collaroy Vets as a nurse since 2010. Helen was on holiday from the UK when she first came to the clinic seeking casual work. Helen quickly became an integral member of the team and after a 3 month break to travel around Australia she came back to work for us full time.
Helen gained her qualifications, a Higher National Diploma in Animal Science, from Newton Rigg College, Cumbria, UK in 2003.
There followed several years working in small animal hospitals in the north of England where Helen acquired the skills of a senior nurse. Helen even turned her hand to a year of working in the Yorkshire grouse moors and wrapping wool.
But sunnier shores were beckoning and Helen came to Australia in 2010. After some sightseeing and fruit picking we were very pleased when Helen decided to stay and settle on the northern beaches.
In addition to performing all nursing tasks, Helen is a mentor to our junior nurses and also carries out many of the administrative tasks that keep the clinic running smoothly from day to day.
